Biography

Jake O'Flaherty was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico because his F.B.I. father, Jack O'Flaherty was stationed there, and later went to Incarnation grade school and Jesuit High school in Tampa, Florida. Jake then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to go to college at Xavier University, where he received a bachelor's degree in Psychology & a Minor in Business. After college, Jake packed his bags, sold everything he owned, and drove his Honda accord to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. After studying with acting coach John Kirby and waiting tables at Jerry's Famous Deli on Beverly Blvd. in Hollywood, Jake met William Morris VP Betty Fanning McCann while serving her a cup of vegetable soup, and signed with them the next day. That was his big break in 1994. Jake has since booked over 200 national commercials, voice-overs, and TV shows.
