Channing Tatum

Before becoming a well-known actor, Tatum worked as a model and appeared in several commercials and music videos. His first breakthrough in acting came with Step Up (2006), a dance film that showcased his hip-hop and breakdancing skills. Success for him came with the Magic Mike saga, films he co-produced that are inspired by his experience as a stripper. The first film was especially notable for its choreography and its depiction of the world of male stripping. With the comedies based on the 1980s TV series 21 Jump Street (2012) and 22 Jump Street (2014), Tatum showcased his comedic chops alongside Jonah Hill. For his role as Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz in the drama Foxcatcher (2014) alongside Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo, he received critical acclaim. He proved his ability to play more complex and dramatic characters.
