Based in Sydney, Australia, the thin 77 year old was born in South Australia. His mother died when he was 10 and , with no parental guidance, by 17 was a juvenile delinquent. Fortunately, after reading Jack Kerouac's novel "The Dharma Bums" he wised up and became one. With no money but remarkable optimism he drifted around Australia for 5 years convinced he'd find (1) love and (2) enlightenment. Found some and settled in Sydney then went to work for an SP bookie. Began full time acting at age 53.
