Biography

Daniel Lundh was born in Malmö, Sweden. He is the son of Swedish actor and art dealer Lennart Lundh and Hélène, a French woman of Jewish Sephardic decent. As a child, Daniel grew up in a multilingual household, speaking English, French and Swedish. He is also fluent in Spanish, speaks Hebrew and some Arabic. It was not unusual for the family to travel across Europe or America in their motor-home, exposing Daniel to different cultures and walks of life from an early age. After high school, he moved to New York, where he decided to pursue acting as a profession. It was also around this time that his father passed from cancer. Daniel enrolled at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and H.B.Studios, while occasionally sitting in on sessions at The Actors Studio. After a symbolic door-opening and one-liner for Norman Jewison, Daniel got his first big break in O Jerusalem (2006), directed by Élie Chouraqui.
