I'll sleep when I'm dead' was Kirris's first professional job as an actor, the character he played was 'Big John' featuring alongside Clive Owen as one of his main men. This was a prominent role. The feedback from the Director Mike Hodges was that 'Kirris was a joy to work with, Leo Davies was the casting director and since then they have been in contact with each other. Kirris started acting in a school production when he was fourteen never really taking it seriously at that time during rehearsals, he would often be late or not turn up but his acting teacher was patient, firm but fair saying, the only person that'll look silly on that stage is you if you don't put the effort in, so he learned the hard way, when he finally realized he only had a couple of days left to actually learn his freaking lines but he did it, and that's where that feeling on that stage in his first performance came from, that buzz and connection to the audience started right there.
