Aurora Browne

Aurora Browne is one of Canada's busiest and most talented comediennes. A gifted actress, Browne brings years of theater training to her comedic take on the world. Her performances are a mix of sunny charm and dark, twisted humor. Her commitment to her unique characters results in what Eye Weekly called, "absurd verisimilitude." Whether she is playing a too-perfect mom or a sadistic princess, Browne takes her characters as far as they will go and then some. Browne started her career in comedy when, on a whim, she signed up with a friend for an improv course. She was swiftly recruited by sketch troupe Urban Myth and began performing regularly in Toronto's thriving comedy scene. Her solo work began attracting attention, and in 2000 she was hired by The Second City Mainstage, a troupe that has produced comedy superstars like Gilda Radner, Catherine O'Hara, Mike Myers and Colin Mochrie.
