Biography

Marcus Chavez is from North and South Carolina. At the age of 5, his first commercial was for a local Piggly Wiggly TV spot, where he appeared with his mother. He grew up a swimmer, played guitar and later played football and tennis in high school. It wasn't until the late 90's when Chavez was enrolled at Mars Hill University, he found a strong interest in the Arts, in particular the Theater Department. He was cast in his first professional stage production as Edouard, a supporting character in Tennessee Williams' Clothes For A Summer Hotel. Directed by the late Br. Ron McIntyre-Fender. This production was a headliner to the Thomas Wolfe Festival in Asheville, NC. at the Diana Wortham Theater. In 1999, Chavez took a break from college to focus on his television and film career and moved to Wilmington, NC. He was cast as a football player in Season 3 of Dawson's Creek. And later cast in a few films, print and commercial jobs that led him to Los Angeles, CA. in 2001. After a short tim
