Biography

Gabriel Luke (Gabe) Egan is an Australian actor who was born in Melbourne September 30, 1976. His parents Maureen (Bartlett) and Michael Egan are both school teachers and relocated the family to Bendigo in country Victoria where Gabriel was raised. Gabriel was awarded the highest mark in the state of Victoria for Year 12 Drama, and moved back to Melbourne at the age of 18 to pursue an acting career. Gabriel immediately began making a name for himself playing dangerous characters on Neighbours (1985), Blue Heelers (1994), Good Guys Bad Guys (1997) and Thunderstone (1999). Gabriel's a handy basketballer having represented Bendigo (The Braves) as a teenager, and his profile began to rise when he became the host of channel 10's NBL Slam for two seasons.
