Biography

Pedro Carmo was born in Lisbon, Portugal. He's been featured in films selected to the Cannes Film Festival ("Misteries of Lisbon" by Raul Rouiz) and the Toronto Film Festival ("The Other Side of Ressurection" by Joaquim Sapinho). On Stage he has performed plays from Shakespeare, Racine, Brecht to Paula Vogel, J.P.Shanley or Jenny Schwartz. In NYC where he has been living for the past nine years he continues is accomplished career with projects on Broadway ("Breakfast at Tiffany's" directed by Sean Mathias), Television (The Blacklist, Evil, Jessica Jones, Person of Interest) and Film ("The Dry Rain" - NYC Indie Film Fest, "The Hunter" by Ian Samplin). After many years directing for Stage, Pedro Carmo directed his first short film called "Way" that earned him a nomination for best director in the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema Milan 2016.
