Biography

Edward Holub has shot and directed several feature and documentary films. Night Runs Red reached national video distribution and Unknown Man saw major festival exposure. Holub's documentary film work includes Spike Lee's "When the Levees Broke" for HBO, and "New Orleans: City on the Edge" for Discovery TV, and work for the Gulf Restoration Network. A photographer since age eight, Holub learned the craft from his father in Ohio. Since the late 80s, Holub's career in commercial photography has included advertising assignments from R.J. Reynolds, Jim Beam, Sony, and book covers for Vintage, Random House, Doubleday, Little Brown, Holt, St.Martin's, etc. Holub's work in New Orleans includes local 600 eligibility as a camera operator and DP. Holub's credits increase every month as new projects reach completion and more clients retain his services. Clients range from independent cinema to work with Barbara Kopple.
