Ruben Amavizca

An actor, director and playwright, Rubén Amavizca-Murúa was born in the border town of Mexicali, Mexico. He has worked mainly on the stage in Mexico and the USA. He's the Artistic Director, since 1993, of Grupo de Teatro Sinergia and the Frida Kahlo Theatre in Los Angeles. He has written over a dozen plays. His better known works are 'Frida Kahlo' and 'The Women Of Juarez.' His plays have been presented and produced in many places in the USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain and Belgium.
