Biography

After starting out as a National Vita nominated theatre director in South Africa, Clair studied film in Ireland where she wrote & directed her award winning first short film "Fatboy & Twintub", which screened at over 15 festivals worldwide, being broadcast and sold globally by Hypnotic Films. Clair has directed two other short films; "Schoolboy" (2007), funded by The National Lottery (The Big Boost) and The Safer Derbyshire Partnership, which screened in competition at Bristol Encounters Short Film Festival; and "Brucie" (also writer - 2009), which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2010 and screened at 10 worldwide festivals throughout that year. Both these shorts were awarded the British Council International Festival Award. Since she moved to London, she has worked as a Storyliner and Director on prime time television and award-winning online drama programmes; directed "live commercials " throughout the U.K. and also run drama and film workshops for disadvantaged youths.
