Joachim Trier is a Danish-Norwegian filmmaker trained at the European Film College and the National Film & Television School in the UK. Trier’s feature films have premiered at major festivals including Cannes, Toronto, and Venice, with his work receiving the Grand Prix at Cannes and nominations for the Academy Awards, BAFTA, and César Awards. He has directed English- and Norwegian-language films and documentaries, collaborated with writers such as Eskil Vogt, and served on Cannes juries, while frequently working with actors like Anders Danielsen Lie and Renate Reinsve.
