Biography

Brent started acting at University. This first introduction was in theatre. His first experience with acting on camera was commercial television. After half a dozen commercials, he spent the next years learning the craft of acting. Studies in voice, movement, sense and affective memory work, as well as the tequnical requiremants for on camera performences. He continued auditioning and working in film, while watching and learning on set from people like Lou Gosset Jr., Bob Hoskins, Catherine Mary Stewart, Rob Lowe, Michael Madison. Around this time, Brent and his acting partner Gilles Plouffe created and co-founded, with the sponsorship of ACTRA the "Actors Workshop". He wanted a place where actors could go to practise their craft. The objective was to constantly work to improve their skills as actors through scene work, monologs, comedy acting, etc. as well as workshopping local material, and having special guest directors in.
