Galina Karelina

Galina Karelina is a Russian character actress of the Aleksandrinka Theatre in St. Petersburg. She was born Galina Timofeevna Karelina on 18 June 1931. in Russia. From 1951 to 1956 she studied acting at the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinematography, graduating in 1956 as actress. That same year she made her stage debut at the Pushkin (Aleksandrinka) Drama Theatre in Leningrad (St. Petersburg). Since 1956, Galina Karelina has been a permanent member and the leading actress of Aleksandrinka Theatre.
