Biography

Leah Loftin is a New York-based actress with a background in theatre and film. Her film work began with a role in the Oscar-winning film Monster's Ball, and she has appeared in independent films that have won awards at film festivals across the globe. Leah has performed theatrically Off-Broadway, throughout the US, Canada, and Russia. With an emphasis on devised/physical theatre of both new and classical plays, Loftin's work was named "fearless" by The New York Times. Formally trained with the Moscow Art Theater at A.R.T. (MXAT), Leah was selected for an extended theatre performance residency in Russia, working in collaboration with Moscow's acclaimed SounDrama theatre company. She was cast as a principal in an original Russian-American production that was a special commission from the prestigious Chekhov International Theater Festival, which went on to tour in sold-out performances throughout Russia and Eastern Europe and was awarded 'Best Experimental Theater Production' in Moscow.
