Dion Mucciacito

Born in Anchorage, Alaska and raised in Southern California, Dion Mucciacito had to overcome many obstacles before finding his way to acting. His mother, Angela Mucciacito, lost her battle with brain cancer and died at the age of 34 when Dion was only 8. His father, David, a member of the Anchorage Fire Department, was overcome with grief after Angela's death and fell deep into alcoholism. He would ultimately die in a drunk driving accident at the age of 48. Through all of this, Dion's extended family came together to help raise him and his older brother Dominic. With the support of his family he was able to develop his interest in acting while in high school. Although he was an athlete who loved boxing and martial arts, he found the emotional engagement in acting therapeutic and rewarding in ways that sports weren't.
