Biography

Amy M. Holmes was born in Lusaka, Zambia and raised in Seattle, Washington and resides in New York City. Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University in 1994. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta while there. During her time at Princeton, she founded Ahimsa, an animal rights group opposed to animal testing. Amy is a news anchor, formerly of TheBlaze TV and was the host of TheBlaze's "Real News." In 2015, she began hosting way too early on MSNBC. She has made appearances on CNN and Fox News as an independent political consultant and is a frequent guest on Real Time with Bill Maher. In 2016, she joined Rasmussen Reports as a broadcast political analyst. Previously, Amy had worked for Independent Women's Forum and from 2003 to 2006, was a speech writer for Sen. Bill Frist when he was House Majority Leader In 2000, she was profiled for People's annual "50 Most Beautiful People".
