Matthew Lawler

Matt may be best known for his role as the lighthearted gay beekeeping Special Agent Gabe Clements on ABC's 2016 critically acclaimed The Family starring Joan Allen, but he has worked steadily for the last 20 years appearing on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in tv/film including recent guest starring roles on Bull and Elementary and supporting roles in the upcoming features Chappaquiddick and Twelve. Matt co-founded the Rude Mechanicals theater company in NYC and served as a leader in the company throughout its 12-year span. The award winning company produced work by Vaclav Havel, William Shakespeare, Samuel Beckett, and premiered work by Don DeLillo, Will Eno, Caryl Churchill, Charles Mee Jr. and many others. Matt also served as associate artistic director at Mile Square Theatre.
