Lina Patel

Lina Patel is an Indian American writer whose work investigates politics, family structures, and relationships in a precarious world. Lina's theatre work has been presented, commissioned or developed at Center Theater Group (Writer's Workshop Alumna), Yale Repertory Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The 24 Hour Plays - 2020-2021 Viral Monologues, The New Group, Slik Road Rising, The Lark Play Development Center, East West Players, The Japanese American National Museum, Chalk Repertory Theater, Artists At Play, Playwright's Arena, and Circle X Theater. Residencies include, New Harmony Project (2011 and 2021). The Sewanee Writers Conference (Walter E. Dakin Fellow). Lina is a co-producer on Ava DuVernay's anthology series, "Cherish the Day", dropping in 2022. Previously, she wrote for the two seasons of DC's Superman prequel, "Krypton".
