Biography

Dan Zeff is a Bafta award-winning Drama and Comedy director and writer best known for Hattie, Lost in Austen, Inside No 9 and Ideal. Dan directed the second half of the series, The Collection, a UK/US/French co-production for LookOut Point/Amazon Prime, a dark period drama set in the world of French Haute Couture just after the Second World War. Before that he worked with Iwan Rheon and Rupert Grint on Adolf Hitler - The Artist, a blackly comic drama for Roughcut/Sky Arts, part of their 2017 Urban Myths Series. Other recent work includes 2 episodes of the award-winning Inside No.9, and two series of the hit BBC3 comedy Siblings. Previous drama credits include the critically-acclaimed film Hattie, (still BBC4's highest rating show), the ground-breaking Lost In Austen for ITV/Mammoth, and his 2 part Case Histories 'When Will There Be Good News' which won the Scottish Bafta for Best Television Drama.
