Katheryn Winnick

Katheryn Winnick is a Canadian actress of Ukrainian descent whose work spans television and film. Born in Etobicoke, Ontario, she trained in martial arts from an early age and later taught actors while completing her kinesiology degree at York University. An alumna of the William Esper Studio, she began in community theatre and directing plays in high school before moving into professional roles. Her on-set experience as a martial arts trainer led to her first series role on Student Bodies. She gained international recognition as Lagertha in Vikings, also directing two episodes of the series, and has since worked across drama and action projects, collaborating with networks, streaming platforms, and the gaming industry. In 2022, she co-founded The Winnick Foundation with her mother to support Ukraine.
