Biography

Wimie Wilhelm, a renowned Dutch actress, stage director and comedian known for her resonant voice, made her mark on both stage and screen, captivating audiences with her performances. She gained wide recognition for her role as a policeman in the popular RTL4 series "Baantjer", but in addition to her acting skills, she was a talented director, working with such great artists as Eva Crutzen, Richard Groenendijk, Brigitte Kaandorp and Rayen Panday. Wilhelm's career spanned several television series and films, as well as her own cabaret show entitled "Eigen zaken" and she also collaborated with major theatrical companies such as Noord Nederlands Toneel and Orkater. Despite facing an incurable illness, dear Wilhelm kept her feet on the ground and dedicated herself to her craft until her passing at the age of 62 in Amsterdam. Her legacy lives on through her posthumous efforts, including organizing concerts in honor of Ramses Shaffy for the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival, where she was fondly remembered and honored by her peers and admirers.
