Cathy Scott is a 23-year journalism veteran and true-crime author who has written 12 nonfiction books. Best known for penning the biographies of rappers Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls and onetime drug kingpin Freeway Rick Ross, her latest books are: The Crime Book, a guide to criminology that explores the most infamous cases of all time; Murder of a Mafia Daughter, about the journalist and mob daughter alleged to have been killed by New York millionaire Robert Durst; and The Millionaire's Wife, about the death of New York businessman George Kogan in a hit-for-hire in daylight on Manhattan's upper east side.
