Jose R. Montalvan Jr.

Jose Rolando Montalvan, Jr. was born on July 24, 1974 in San Francisco, California. J.R. Montalvan, Jr. attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco between 1996 and 1999. While attending the Academy of Art University, J.R. accepted the position of Camera Technician at Lee Utterbach, Inc. Motion Picture Camera Systems in San Francisco, California. It was there that J.R. began the journey into his career in Motion Picture. Upon completion of his initial training; it was achievement after achievement for this young Film Maker. With the guidance of his renowned Oscar Award Winning mentor and C.E.O. Mr. Dan Reed, J.R. was able to learn the technical aspect of film making at a furious pace. It was clear J.R. had a firm understanding of the technical expertise that would catapult him to the forefront of technical film making. In 2000 J.R. was certified in Burbank, CA as an ARRIFLEX Master Technician. Upon his return to Northern California he accepted a promotion to General Manager
