Biography

Kyu C. Lee is a 10-year studio veteran out of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Lee oversaw titles ranging from Columbia Pictures and Screen Gems that include Spider-man, Casino Royale and The Da Vinci Code. Lee also spearheaded the acquisition of the Korean War blockbuster, Taegukgi: Brotherhood of War in 2004, the first Korean film to be theatrically released in the US. Lee is an executive producer for the remake of the 1958 classic, The Blob, starring Samuel L. Jackson. On the tube, Lee recently brokered the US hit series Criminal Minds as a remake in Korea. Other projects Lee produced include the summer blockbuster hit Operation Chromite, a Korean film about the Battle of Incheon set during the Korean War. The film features Liam Neeson, the first Hollywood star to be cast in a Korean film. The film grossed a successful 7 million + admissions locally in Korea and released worldwide.
