Biography

Born in New York City, Neil earned his Bachelors degree at Occidental College in 1983; MFA - Acting, from Cornell University in 1985. He worked as an actor at the Old Globe Theater, San Diego from '85-'86 under the direction of Jack O'Brien, John Houseman, Joe Hardy and others. Founding member of the Basic Theater Company, in NYC in 1988. Creator and Founder of daytime television's "Day of Compassion" for persons living with HIV/AIDS in 1993, thru 2001. With assistance from Hollywood Supports, the "Day of Compassion" grew to encompass the participation of several dozen daytime dramas, talk shows, news/magazine shows, and even foreign language TV shows. While working as an actor on ABC's General Hospital and Port Charles, Neil entered seminary in 1997 and received his Masters of Divinity from the Claremont School of Theology in 2004.
