Mandy's accomplishments in comedy film won her a Sony Pictures Television Directing Fellowship in 2014, and "Best New Filmmaker" from NewFilmmakers LA in 2015. In addition to being selected for festivals all over the country, all three of her short films were released theatrically in theatres nationwide in Shorts HD's compilation, "Stars in Shorts: No Ordinary Love." Killing Vivian (2013)_, which she wrote and directed, earned her Top Female Filmmaker at the Chicago Comedy Film Festival. Her next short film, Somebody's Mother (2014), won Best Short at the California Independent Film Festival, plus Best Director and Best Actress at the Hang Onto Your Shorts Film Festival.
