Biography

Callison Slater is an animator from Arlington, Virginia. Callison has studied at The Art Institute of Washington, VCU School of the Arts, and NOVA Community College. At age 17, he took home his first film festival award for his animated short, The Woes of Marsh. Since then, he's won 'Best Animation' at the New York Short Film and Screenplay Competition, 'Best Animation' at the Sixteen is to Nine International Film Festival and the 'Audience Choice Award' at the Rockport Film Festival. Callison Slater has done freelance work for Generic Theater in Norfolk, VA, Our Task INC., and the Maida Withers Dance Construction Company. From 2014 to 2015, he was a member of the Channel Frederator Network, spearheading & organizing a network-wide collaboration, as well as pitching the concept for their "Then VS. Now" series.
