Biography

Sieger Sloot (1977) is an actor based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He was born and raised in Rotterdam and after finishing the Erasmiaans Gymnasium he decided to become an actor. After quite uniquely being accepted to both the Maastricht and the Amsterdam drama school, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. After his graduation at the academy he focused mainly on theatre and comedy. He was one of the founders of a Dutch theatre group, "De Praktijk", and in 2007 he was one of the writers of a Dutch comedy series, Nieuw Dier (2006), in which he also performed many roles. In 2008 Sieger appeared in the critically acclaimed miniseries John Adams (2008), which won many Emmys and Golden Globes. He worked on several TV comedy shows, is a well known theatre actor and wrote two plays, "Superkapitalisten" (2012) and "Sociaal Kapitaal" (2019).
