Carolyn Shelby

Carolyn was born in Long Beach, California and spent her teenage years singing and acting at Palm Springs High. She moved to Los Angeles to attend college, graduating from the UCLA Theatre Arts Department in 1972, with an acting specialization. After several years working as an actress, she discovered her true love... screenwriting. Pairing up with her husband Christopher Ames, they worked as a professional screenwriting team for nearly thirty years. During that time, they wrote for both TV and feature, had grand adventures and a few stray seconds they would rather forget. Unfortunately, ageism started to become an issue for them as they ventured into their late 40's. Reality programming gave ageism a major assist in leading Carolyn and Chris to move into secondary careers. Carolyn went into financial services, intrigued by the prospect of finding a way to adapt traditional financial planning to the unique needs of those in feast and famine lifestyles (i.e., Show Biz).
