Biography

Dominique Valera (born June 18, 1947) is a French karate and kick boxer Champion, born in Lyon. He has a 9th Dan black belt in karate and is the winner of French Championships (17 times), multiple European Karate and Full Contact Championships (14 times). Dominique Valera was also won the International Black Belt tournament in New York City at the Manhattan Square Garden on August 10th 1969. He became World Karate Champion in 1972 and was Vice World Champion of Full Contact twice (1978 & 1981). Since retiring from competitive karate Dominique Valera has starred in French and international movies such as Let Sleeping Cops Lie.
