Biography

Shelley began acting at age twelve on the stage of the historic 'Opera House' in his hometown of Abbeville, South Carolina. His keen interest in music led him to pick up the electric bass in high school. From there, he attended Berklee School Of Music in Boston studying music theory/arranging. In the early eighties, Shelley worked as an announcer and sales representative at radio stations in upstate South Carolina where he also played bass with the popular dance band, 'Brasstown Ball.' In 1985, Shelley went back to the Abbeville Opera House, under the direction of Michael Genevie, and eventually performed in over fifty productions. Notable roles include, 'Will Stockdale' in 'No Time For Sergeants,' 'Lloyd Dallas' in 'Noises Off' and as 'Brick' in Tennessee Williams' classic, 'Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.'
