Biography

Due to his parents revolutionary politics much of Juan David's childhood was spent in hiding, often in the dark of "los cines" where the fear of drug cartels and guerrilla warfare was overpowered by the enchantment and magic of movies. As long as he can remember Juan David wanted to be an actor, and at the age of 15, while performing in a school play, he attracted the attention of a scout from International Models. Subsequently he appeared in many ads, most notably for Deisel, Unlimited and Francois Girbaud, including a featured spread in "Numero" which attracted the attention of the producers of his first starring role in films, "Our Lady of the Assassins". Juan David then attended German Jaramillo's Free Theatre School on full scholarship and went on to appear in many Colombian theatre and television productions including a season of "Francisco el matematico", 2 guest appearances on "Historias de hombres solo para mujeres", and a featured role on "Siguiendo el Raftro".
