Lance Solomon Reddick was an American actor whose career bridged music, theater, film, television, and voice work. Trained as a classical composer at Eastman, he later studied acting at the Yale School of Drama, graduating with an MFA in 1994. He began on stage and television before establishing a long presence in series and films and collaborated repeatedly with HBO and later expanded into science fiction and streaming productions, also becoming a distinctive voice in animation and video games. Parallel to acting, he pursued music, releasing his own compositions in 2007. He died on March 17, 2023, at age 60.
