Elizabeth Reaser

"My career's been a steady, interesting, weird, frustrating, fun journey at all different times." Elizabeth Reaser rose to prominence portraying characters marked by empathy and restraint across film, television, and stage. Born in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, she studied at Juilliard (Group 28) and prepared rigorously for roles, once shadowing ER staff to portray a paramedic in Saved (2006). She was praised as one of Interview magazine’s “14 To Be” in 2004. Her independent film Sweet Land earned her a Newport Beach Jury Award and an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Reaser received an Emmy nomination for Grey’s Anatomy (2007–2008) and later gained global recognition as Esme Cullen in The Twilight Saga (2008–2012).
