Biography

Anna Pernicci is a writer and actress. She's a Goldsmiths University alumna, with a master's in film, a BA in theatre directing and a HND in professional broadcasting. She's a Royal Television Society Award winner, a BBC Dennis Potter Screenwriter Award nominee and a Susan Smith Blackburn Prize nominee. Her writing career began at the Royal Court Theatre and she was featured on LWT's Theatreland as one of Britain's most promising writers. Anna went on to win a playwright accolade for her first play Sundae, which was staged at the Duke of York's Theatre in London's West End starring Maggie Steed. After the success of Sundae, Anna was approached by Soho Theatre Company and awarded with seed money bursary to write her second play The Green Line. A series of Anna's monologues were performed at the Royal Albert Hall and at the Royal Court Theatre.
