Biography

After graduating from high school, Schreinemakers began studying social sciences, which she completed with a diploma. She then joined WDR television, where she worked as a reporter for the newsroom. Schreinemakers also moderated the "Current Hour" on the same station. Schreinemakers was married to Jürgen von der Lippe from 1986 to 1988. From 1990 to 2007 she was married to the Cologne lawyer Werner Klumpe. The couple separated in 2001. In 1992 she moved to the private broadcaster "SAT.1" to present "Schreinemakers live". With her talk show, which was broadcast regularly until 1996, the TV presenter gained widespread popularity among German television audiences. In 1997 Schreinemakers joined the rival station "RTL" to work there as a presenter: the new program was called "Schreinemakers TV".
