Biography

Narinder Samra was born on the 17th of July in the West Midlands, England. Narinder is the younger of three siblings, and has had an interest in acting since an early age. After studying for a BA in Politics/History at Lancaster University, he ultimately followed his dream and headed for the United States and studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. Narinder's first feature film role was in James Wong's film, The One(2001) starring Jet Li . In 2011, Narinder won Best Actor at the Reelheart International film festival, in Toronto, Canada for his lead role in Land Gold Women, the UK's first film about the sensitive issue of honour killing from the perspective of the perpetrator. The film garnered an impressive international profile and festival presence and went on to win the Best Film in English at the prestigious National Film Awards of India in 2010.
