Biography

Andrew Sanders has worked with many leading directors. His career has included films made by Martin Scorcese, Bernardo Bertolucci, Nic Roeg, Stephen Frears, HughHudson, Ang Lee, James Ivory and David Cronenberg. The Golden Bowl for Merchant Ivory received the Best Technical Achievement award from The Evening Standard and his work on Spider, directed by David Cronenberg, received the award for Best Production Design at the Toronto Film Festival. Hugh Hudson's I Dreamed of Africa was filmed in South Africa and Venice. The Beirut locations for Blind Flight were built in Glasgow, Belfast and Tunisia. For Merchant Ivory, The White Countess used Shanghai Studios and locations in Shanghai and Lake Wushi working with a Chinese construction crew and Art Department. The City of your Final Destination was shot in Argentina and recent films were made in Cuba and Morocco. Further work as Production Designer includes Stephen Frears' film The Hit, Nic Roeg's Castaway and The Witches, Frank Roddam'
