Biography

Ari B. Rubin has written feature films for actor/director Robert Redford, actor Tom Cruise at Paramount Pictures, director Francis Lawrence at Warner Brothers, and recently the TV pilot "Shelter" at SyFy Network. His script "The Brutus Complex" was on the 2005 Black List and he is a Sundance Screenwriters Lab finalist. Ari is a board member of the Writers Guild of America West. In addition to his work as a screenwriter, Ari has written for publications like Politico and The Huffington Post. He consults for political organizations and candidates as a speechwriter and policy advisor, including Janice Hahn for Congress, Mike Feuer for Los Angeles City Attorney, and Wendy Gruel for Los Angeles Mayor. Ari received his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 2002 in history, government, social theory and economics. He has taught flight instruction in New York and Santa Monica. He is also a licensed EMT and avid marathon/triathlon racer.
