Biography

Franc. Reyes was born in Spanish Harlem and raised in the South Bronx. His teen years were spent touring the world as a dancer/choreographer. Soon after working a few years as a successful songwriter for labels like Columbia Records, Def Jam, and others, he was asked to stage club sequences for the Brian De Palma classic, "Carlito's Way". Not long after he embarks on a quest to write and direct films of his own. After writing a few screenplays and cramming through numerous books on the art of acting and filmmaking, he writes what would become his first feature film "Empire" starring John Leguizamo, Peter Sarsggard, Denise Richards and Hip Hop Artists Fat Joe and Treach (Naughty By Nature). Franc. goes on to write four songs for the film. Two of those songs produced by legendary producer Emilio Estefan. He is also honored when music legend and actor Ruben Blades agrees to score the film. Empire went on to become one of the most successful films to come out of The Sundance Film Festival
