Biography

Ted Michaels moved to Los Angeles in 1991. People seemed to pretty much go about their business. Ted almost immediately started doing improv and this soon (years later) led to a financially spotty, but reliably interesting career in acting. Although he had some success in this field, many casting directors were put off by his extreme good looks. "Your unattainable beauty makes people feel bad about themselves," was a frequent comment. Ted was a mixture of undeterred and deterred, so in 2005 he took up a second career as a puppeteer. This profession enabled him to hide his god-like appearance while still performing. In 2014, Ted wrote and directed the film Tangoborn Menclenty. Ted chose that name specifically so people could not remember it. The film had a lengthy period of post production, a lengthy period of submission to film festivals, and a lengthy period of waiting around for Ted to do something with it. The film also wondered why Ted had named it so cruelly and legally changed it
