Biography

Lorin McCraley was born in Kingman, Arizona. As a child, he grew up in a myriad of locations across the American Southwest, before landing in Cottonwood, Arizona. While there, he was an All-Conference football and baseball player at Mingus Union High School. A football scholarship took him to Scottsdale Community College, where a fist fight and a resulting broken hand, forced him to miss his sophomore season, but indirectly led to his discovery of acting. He received his B.A. in Theatre from Ottawa University in Ottawa Kansas. At Ottawa he was a Captain on the football team and received All-KCAC honors. He left the M.F.A. professional acting program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City early to pursue a career in Los Angeles. In his first month in LA he received his SAG card after the impromptu stealing of a purse as an extra during a take of the television show "Double Rush".
