Derrick L. McMillon

Derrick Leroy McMillon was born in Miami, Florida to Gloria Jean Burrell, a mentally handicap teacher, and Leroy McMillon, a postman. He was raised in Opa-Locka, Florida until around the age of ten. Later is father relocated the whole family to Orlando, Florida where his career begin to unfold. After high school, higher education and football called. He attended Albany State College in Georgia. He pursued a walk on tryout for the football team. When that didn't work out he later moved back to Orlando and received his Associate Arts Degree from Seminole Community College. This helped him get a shot at walking on to the University of Central Florida's football team. Successful on making the team, he spent two years there.
