Biography

Trish McGettrick (nee Sitric) was born in Co Sligo, Ireland. The family lived in Co. Sligo and Dublin Ireland. Also, briefly in Chiswick, London, England, UK, before returning to Ireland and eventually immigrating to the United States in 1963. Trish was drawn to the theatre and studied various acting methods in Dublin Ireland, New York and LA. She performed in summer stock theatre and appeared in the first three productions at the Irish Arts Center: "In the Shadow of the Glen" (Nora), "Shadow of a Gunman" (Mrs. Grigson) and "Wood of the Whispering" (Sheila) in 1974-76. Trish spent several years on-stage in various theatre's in NYC. Favorite roles were in: "After the Fall", "The Rainmaker", "Anastasia" and Ophelia in "Hamlet". After a long absence (to raise two sons, College, etc. She worked as a Programmer Analyst for American Express & New York Life). Trish returned to the Irish Arts Center to appear in Brian Friel's "Lovers" as Hanna Wilson in 1996 and again in 2000 as MA in "Locatin
