Dailyn Matthews

Dailyn was born in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in a large family, she started downhill skiing at a young age and attended an all-girls high school. This is where the shy, gawky teenager found her inner performer. Performances in the high school productions led to pageants, where she was crowned Miss Metro National Teen-Ager and subsequently Miss Michigan National Teen-Ager. After attending Michigan State University for two years, she ran off to Hollywood. Years of chasing an acting career brought little success. A little detour into the production side of things, she UPM'd (unit production manager) for the likes of Zack Snyder and David Fincher. During the seven year stint on the other side of the camera, she even hung out in edit bays with Gore Verbinski. Valuable knowledge was gained whilst filling in any position on the crew on various productions. It was akin to being a fly on the wall.
