"I have a thousand things to say to film people. Those of us who make audiovisual narrative have in our hands a very powerful tool. A kind of nuclear reactor. And we must ask ourselves what we are going to use it for." Iconic and paradigmatic Argentinean director. She moved from her native Salta and studied at ENERC, Buenos Aires. She directed short films, the last one, "Rey muerto" (1995), was made within the framework of Historias Breves of the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales de Argentina (INCAA) and later she was in charge of the TV series "D.N.I" (1995) and the acclaimed children's program "Magazine for Fai" (1995 - 1999). In 2001 she released her first feature film "La ciénaga", which marked a turning point in national cinema and established her as an international promise after being recognized in festivals and awards around the world.
