Biography

He was born in Winnipeg MB and now makes his home in Vancouver, BC. He started doing stand-up comedy in 1989 and did open mic nights and small gigs around Vancouver. From 1993 until 2000 he worked as the opening act for a variety of other comics from Canada and the U.S. touring small towns in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In 1994 he took to learning the craft of acting and landed his first speaking role in 1996. In 2004, he wrote and starred in his own film, "No One Ever Suspects the Chinese Guy", a dark comedy about racism and ethnic erasure. He started and ran the Tuesday Night Actor's Drop In group from 2003 to 2007. The group still continues to this day under different organizers. He began teaching on camera audition and scene study in the fall of 2007 for a private acting school in Vancouver until the spring of 2011.
