Peter Obrist

Peter Obrist was born in Lucerne, Switzerland. After attending London International Film School, Peter was an assistant director on numerous music-film productions with world famous orchestras as The Vienna Philharmonics, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, The Boston Symphony Orchestra, top rating conductors like Karl Boehm, Georg Solti, Zubin Mehta and top musicians like Arthur Rubinstein and Yehudi Menuhin. Thereafter he was assistant director on theatre productions with The Freies Theater Muenchen, FTM, in Munich, Germany. 1986 Manuel, first feature Film as scriptwriter and director, awarded best young director at The Filmfestival Karlovy Vary. 1985 setup of production company relief-film, producing low-budget feature films and documentaries on sociocultural issues in India, Southkorea, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritius, Madagascar and in the South Pacific. 1995-2015 writing popular TV-shows and TV-movies for German and Swiss public and private TV channels.
